Specified Illness
Specified Serious Illness
If you were diagnosed with a Serious Illness you may be unable to continue in your employment and may face severe medical costs. Specified Serious Illness cover pays you a tax-free lump sum if you are diagnosed with one or more of the specific illnesses or disabilities that your policy covers. It can also be referred to as ‘Critical Illness cover’. It is often offered as an extra benefit on a life insurance or mortgage protection plan, but it can also be obtained as an independent insurance policy on its own.
